Siniat sells La Chape Liquide and Gyvlon to Minersa - 01/08/2013

Siniat International, Etex's gypsum division, announces the sale of its subsidiaries La Chape Liquide and Gyvlon to the spanish Industrial Group Minersa, effective 1 August 2013.

La Chape Liquide and Gyvlon manufacture and sell anhydrite floor screed binders in Europe. They are situated in France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom and have leading positions in France, the Netherlands, Great Britain and Eastern Europe.

Minersa, producer of minerals and chemical products, has the largest hydrofluoric acid production facility in Europe. This acquisition is a strong lever in its vertical integration strategy. Combining its current activities with those of La Chape Liquide and Gyvlon would lead to develop a more competitive business model.

For Siniat this operation is in line with its focus on Dry Construction, providing inside and outside building solutions. The sale proceeds will be used primarily to pursue Etex’s investment policy with targeted takeovers and organic growth.
