Etex Group Seals the Deal

The Kyoto Protocol was the result of a United Nations Climate Conference in Japan in 1993 and had the goal to reduce CO2 emissions on a global level. Since then, scientific studies have shown that human activity causes an important increase of the average temperature.

As a consequence, more and more people, organisations, companies, etc call upon the political leaders to come to a new, post-Kyoto agreement. This agreement is the main topic at a new Climate Conference in Copenhagen in December 2009.

United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)

To show all participants what the industry has done and still can do in the future, the United Nations Environment Programme (www.unep.org) launched the "Seal the Deal" campaign.

Among many other initiatives, “Seal the Deal” invited private companies to participate in a television broadcast in which they would show what they had done and/or which products they offer to slow down and stop the climate change. Find more information on http://www.sealthedeal2009.org

Etex Group was invited to participate in the category “building related activities”. The Group’s input was part of the broadcast on "Green construction: sustainable buildings – featuring companies developing technologies to try to make the way we live and work more eco-friendly".

The video shows how Etex Group contributes to more sustainability in the building industry and will be presented at the Climate Conference in Copenhagen. This video also appears on the campaign website of Seal the Deal.
