On the forefront of sustainability
At Etex, our construction solutions have sustainability at their core. We take responsibility for innovating whilst reducing our carbon footprint and integrating circularity principles wherever we can.
At Etex, we believe significant progress means taking big steps. We combat global challenges, like climate change, by focusing on the core strengths of our products. With our effective lightweight construction solutions and innovative building materials, we embrace the demand for high-quality, energy-efficient and sustainable living and working spaces. Urgent challenges need both short term and long term solutions. That is why we signed the United Nations Global Compact, prioritising sustainable development goals (SDG) with which we can make the biggest impact.
Our sustainability management is accredited by the leading rating agency EcoVadis. Overall, Etex is rated in the top 9% of companies active in the concrete, cement and plaster industry. For our achievements in the area of Environment we get a top 6% rating.
Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) scores assess a company's sustainability and ethical performance. Our risk level has improved compared to 2021 and is rated 17.9 in 2023. This means Etex is listed as a top 10 company in the ‘Construction Products’ category.
All our EQUITONE fibre cement façade materials are Cradle to Cradle Certified ® at the Bronze level. This certification is widely regarded, throughout the building industry, as a preferred sustainability standard, giving architects fact-based, at-a-glance assurance that EQUITONE’s façade materials meet some of the world’s most rigorous sustainability standards.

True to our purpose, we do our utmost to turn our sense of responsibility towards the communities we operate in, into tangible actions and contributions. In joining forces with local and international non-profit organisations and their partners, we help build homes, shelters and educational spaces for families and communities in need.
