Customer engagement

Customer engagement

The construction industry as a whole is responsible for 37% of global greenhouse gas emissions and 98% of the materials used in this industry end up in landfills or low-value applications at the end of their life cycle. With our lightweight construction solutions, Etex can play an important role by engaging with our customers and delivering them solutions which are sustainable, efficient, safe and beautiful. By 2025 we have transformed the way we engage with our customers and we have enhanced the sustainable features of our lightweight construction solutions.

Etex first mover in industry to offer circular content declarations

At Etex, we see waste as a valuable resource to be repurposed, not discarded. As an industry first-mover, we offer Circular Content Declarations, demonstrating our leadership in transparency and sustainability. In 2024, we expanded these declarations across our platforms, providing customers and stakeholders with clear, accessible information on our products’ environmental impact. This circular content refers to the proportion of materials in a product derived from recycled or repurposed sources, reducing reliance on virgin materials. We initially launched it with Promat fire protection boards, publishing over 30 declarations, and have since expanded to include EQUITONE, Cedral and Siniat products across multiple countries. This initiative strengthens our commitment to minimising the use of virgin and non-renewable materials as part of our broader circularity goals.
