Offering Peruvian families safer modular homes
In 2019, Etex partnered with non-profit organisation Techo, a Latin American housing initiative fighting poverty in countries across the region. The intent? To build nine modular residential solutions of 16 m2 in surface area in the Ventanilla district.
What makes these homes better?
By applying a modular construction approach, we designed each home to feature three multifunctional spaces. Any of them can easily be used as a bedroom or a dining room. We used our own high-quality modular construction systems to provide lightweight, highly water-resistant homes that offer excellent ventilation.
Connect and care
In order to gather sufficient voluntary labour force to construct these new homes, Etex called for internal volunteers from all countries where we are present. The response was truly enormous. Over 400 colleagues applied and 16 volunteers were selected. This sense of corporate social responsibility makes this project a beautiful example of our shared commitment to the Etex value ‘Connect and Care’.
