Hans Van Bylen has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors, succeeding Jo Van Biesbroeck, who will continue to serve as a member of the Etex Board of Directors. In addition, Thierry Vanlancker has resigned from his position on the Etex Board following his appointment as Managing Director of Aliaxis. These changes will take effect on 1 January 2025.
Jo Van Biesbroeck will step down as Chairman of the Etex Board of Directors on 1 January 2025, passing the role to fellow Board member Hans Van Bylen. Board member since 2020, Mr. Van Bylen will bring his expertise and leadership to his new role as Chairman. He is the former CEO of Henkel and also serves on the boards of Ontex, AkzoNobel and LANXESS.

Jo Van Biesbroeck joined Etex’s Board of Directors in 2018 and became its Chairman in May 2021. During his three-year tenure as Chairman, he was instrumental in Etex’s many successes and global expansion. He continues to serve as a valued member of the Etex Board of Directors.

Thierry Vanlancker has been a member of Etex’s Board of Directors since 2021. He also sits on the boards of several companies, including SIKA, Cabot Corporation and Stahl. In July 2024, he became the Managing Director of Aliaxis.
