Paul Van Oyen

Chief Executive Officer and responsible for Etex Industry Division, Etex Residential Roofing a.i., Legal and Communications

Paul Van Oyen has been the Chief Executive Officer of Etex since 1 January 2015, and also acts as the responsible for Etex Industry and Etex Roofing, Communications and Legal. After several years as a researcher and technologist, he joined Etex in 1990, starting off as a Laboratory and Project Manager in the Redco R&D department. After that, he led the Business Development of our European Building Materials division. In 2004, he became Business Development Manager and successfully completed several acquisitions in Europe. Meanwhile, he also helped shape our business in clay tiles and in 2007 took the role of Managing Director for Eastern Europe. In 2011, Paul became Director of the Fire Protection & Insulation Division, better known under its brand name Promat.

Per Olof Altogtsson


Per-Olof Algotsson

Head of Etex Building Performance Division

In April 2018, Per-Olof joined Etex as Head of Etex Building Performance Division. After starting his career at Euroc in 1981 and subsequently working at SDS, Trelleborg Group and Rescon/Liwell, Per-Olof moved to Akzo Nobel in 1991, where he carried out commercial management functions in Sweden and Russia. From 2000 to 2010, Per-Olof held senior management positions at Johns Manville, both in Sweden and Slovakia. When he left, Per-Olof was General Manager and Managing Director for John Manville’s European fibres and global glass textiles businesses. From 2011 to 2014, he was Business and Managing Director for the Packaging Solutions EIMEA business unit of H.B. Fuller. Before joining Etex, Per-Olof worked as General Manager and Managing Director for the Global Technical Fabrics Downstream business unit of Owens Corning in Brussels.

Alex Carneval


Alex Carnevale

Chief Performance Officer and responsible for Environment, Health & Safety, Purchasing and Engineering

"Commit as a team to do great things."

Since January 2016, Alex Carnevale has been Etex’s Chief Performance Officer and in that role he is also responsible for Environment, Health & Safety, Purchasing and Engineering. Alex started his professional career as Process/Project Engineer at AlliedSignal in 1988. In the ten years that followed, he held a variety of management roles, culminating in the role of Production Manager in France. Afterwards, Alex went on to become Plant Manager at Honeywell and, three years later, was promoted to General Manager Europe of this automation technology multinational. From 2004 onwards, Alex Carnevale took on several leadership roles at Performance Fibers. Prior to joining Etex, Alex also worked as an independent business consultant on different projects in various industries.

Mel de Vogue


Mel de Vogue

Chief Financial Officer and responsible for IT

"Together with my team, I want to help us grow in a profitable way, while creating value for Etex's stakeholders. Kind of like a family man supporting his household."

Mel de Vogue joined Etex as its Chief Financial Officer on 1 May 2015. He is also responsible for IT. Prior to Etex, he gained extensive experience at several international industrial groups. Between 2009 and 2015, Mel was the Chief Financial Officer of Belgian chemicals group Tessenderlo for five years. From 2013 onwards, he combined that function with the role of Co-Chief Executive Officer. Between 2004 and 2009, Mel was Chief Financial Officer of Arjowiggins, a specialty papers group headquartered in France. Prior to that, he held various key financial functions at Suez Environnement Group, in several countries around the world.

Michael Fenlon


Michael Fenlon

Head of Etex Exteriors

"The most important reason to be in business is to make a difference.”

Since 1 March 2016, Michael Fenlon holds a global responsibility for the Etex Façade division. Michael joined Etex in 1998 as Factory Manager at Tegral Metal Forming in Athy, Ireland, and became its Managing Director in 2002. Between 2010 and 2016, Michael was Managing Director of Etex Group’s cladding business, PSE façade. Under his leadership both Equitone and Cedral brands developed into leading names in the cladding segment. Michael’s guidance was also essential to the international expansion of our cladding activities from Europe to Asia, Latin America and the United States.

Joelle Boxus


Joëlle Boxus

Chief Human Resources Officer

“I love when stories do not have a clear beginning or end. Change is part of the spectrum. It is a stimulating tool to use and make the best of – even without knowing what is going to happen next.”

Joëlle joined Etex as Chief Human Resources Officer in December 2018. With a master’s degree in psychology and education sciences, she began her career in 1996 at consultancy firms including Ernst & Young and Robert Walters. In 2005, she joined Kraft Foods as HR Manager before becoming Regional HR Director and playing an important role in large acquisitions and carving out activities. In 2009, Joëlle moved to the Netherlands for a Global HR Director role at Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate, where she later became divisional HR Director. From 2013, she was active at AkzoNobel where she started as Global HR Director for its specialty chemicals division. From 2017, Joëlle had a leading role in the spin-off project of AkzoNobel and the sale of the resulting chemical company, where she was promoted to become Chief Human Resources Officer and member of the Executive Committee.

Carla Sinanian


Carla Sinanian

Chief Strategy Officer

“Working together with great people to make an impact.”

In September 2017, Carla joined Etex as Chief Strategy Officer. Carla began her career at medical technology leader Medtronic, where she had several international sales & marketing management roles. After obtaining an MBA, Carla joined Royal Philips Electronics as VP of Corporate Strategy, before moving to Japan to become Head of Strategy for Philips in Asia. She then joined Philips Semiconductors to run a global wireless business and accepted several global strategy and marketing roles at NXP Semiconductors. Prior to joining Etex, Carla was part of Deloitte, where she was partner in the high-tech practice.
